Simi Valley Police were flooded Thursday with crime reports from people who say Christmas time deliveries are being stolen from their front doorsteps.

Police said suspects might be following UPS, Fed Ex, or US Postal Service delivery vehicles during their routes.

"Once a package has been delivered, the suspect(s) then take the item from the front of the residence. The victim discovers that the item was taken after they return home. There does not appear to be a pattern as to where these crimes are occurring. The Police Department has received complaints from throughout the City, according to apolice statement issued Thursday afternoon.
