Female Deputy Charged in Domestic Brawl

A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy will be arraigned Sept. 24 on charges of firing a gun in her Westminster home and falsely telling investigators her former husband was molesting a 13-year-old relative.
  
Patricia Margaret Bojorquez, 43, allegedly called Huntington Beach police Nov. 18 to falsely accuse her former husband of molestation, according to the District Attorney's Office. Bojorquez made the allegation because she was upset about child custody issues, according to prosecutors.
  
Bojorquez fired the gun in her home about 11:50 a.m., Jan. 9, according to prosecutors. The bullet went through a bedroom window and out into the street where children were playing, according to the District Attorney's Office.
  
Bojorquez's brother and fiance, who were with her at the time, called police.
  
Bojorquez was charged Thursday with a felony count of discharging a firearm with gross negligence which could have resulted in injury or death of a person and a misdemeanor count of falsely reporting a crime, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office
  
Bojorquez is on probation for guilty pleas to driving under the influence in 2008 and 2009.
