Hit-and-Run Victim Dragged Half-Mile

A man was dragged about a half-mile under a car after a fight Sunday night in Downey, according to police.

Police said the confrontation occurred in the parking lot of the Shuttle Inn. Authorities said one man got into his car and drove over another man.

The victim was dragged in the street before the assailant fled in the vehicle, police said.

Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver. A vehicle description was not immediately available.
