Foreclosure, bankruptcy, payment plans, penalties, past-due tax returns and other complex tax issues can be a challenge for taxpayers.

The Internal Revenue Service is hoping to help taxpayers tackle these issues before the end of the year. This Saturday, November 7, they are offering personalized help in what they are calling “Solution Saturday.”

The IRS employees from across the agency will provide one-on-one help for taxpayers to address unique tax problems or issues.

Solution Saturday will be held at the Internal Revenue Service office at 300 N. Los Angeles. Tax experts want you to make an appointment for Solution Saturday by calling 213-576-4130. While appointments are recommended, walk-ins are also welcome.

In addition to the scheduled appointments, the IRS will staff booths on Solution Saturday where taxpayers can find out more about getting the most out of new tax credits created by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, starting a new business, and navigating IRS programs designed to help taxpayers.
