Deputies: OC Man Allegedly Used Website, Fake Age to Lure Teen

Authorities arrested a man in Ladera Ranch on Tuesday night after he allegedly texted a girl, under 13-years-old, and made plans to meet her near her home.

Orange County Sheriff's deputies say Sam Brent Robertson had met the girl on the Internet in October. He allegedly used a very specific website to lure his underage victim -- so specific deputies would not name the social networking site.

The 41-year-old Newport Beach man is accused of picking her up at her Ladera Ranch middle school and then taking her to Newport Beach's back bay, where he allegedly molested her, deputies say.

They say there were two more meetings, including one at his Balboa Boulevard home.

Robertson allegedly posed as a 24-year-old and had texted the girl numerous times Tuesday to arrange their fourth meeting. The girl's mother found the text messages and alerted sheriff's deputies. Robertson was arrested at an unnamed Ladera Ranch location.

He is facing charges of kidnap and molestation.

"Given the nature of the website, we are concerned there may be more victims," said Cpt. Steve Doan.
