Some residents in the Big Bear Lake area might have started the day with a jolt.

A small earthquake struck the area early Wednesday morning.

The quake was a magnitude-3.3, according to the USGS. Its epicenter was five miles west of Mount San Gorgonio and nine miles south of Big Bear Lake, which placed it roughly four  miles north of the Riverside County line.

The quake had a depth of 4.7 miles, according to the USGS.

A San Bernardino County sheriff's dispatcher in Big Bear said no problems were reported.

The epicenter is about 75 miles east of Los Angeles.

Residents in Forest Falls and Yucaipa felt the quakes, according to The Sun newspaper.
