Bank Robber, What Big Eyes You Have

The FBI says the same woman, dubbed the Grandma Bandit, has hit a bank branch in Chino, Calif., twice this year -- in January and again in November. The bank, a Bank of America branch located at 12747 Central Avenue in Chino, was robbed on Jan. 14, 2008, and Nov. 14, 2008.
Witnesses describe the robber as an elderly woman, possibly of Middle Eastern decent, 60 years old, between 5'5" and 5'6", with a thin build and prescription glasses. During the robberies, she says something indicating she's been victimized by someone, but agents say she might make say that in an effort to gain the teller's sympathy.
During the November 2008 robbery, the bandit wore a blonde wig, presented a note to the teller and said something indicating she was under duress.
"During the January robbery, the Grandma Bandit lifted her shirt to reveal a metal object with wires attached," according to an FBI news release. "She also presented a note that read, 'Please help this lady, she is strapped.' The woman proceeded to rob the bank while asking the teller to help her. The bandit walked out of the bank and was seen getting into the driver's side of a white SUV."
