Girl Follows Alleged Child Molester From Bus, Ensures Arrest

The victim tailed the man after he got off in Van Nuys and then told deputies the next bus he got onto

An alleged child molester was arrested after a victim followed him from a bus to make sure he was caught.

The girl tailed the man after he exited the bus in Van Nuys. She then told deputies the next bus he got onto just before 2 p.m., a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.

Officials quickly pulled over the Orange Line bus at Van Nuys Boulevard and Vose Street and arrested the subject, whose identity has yet to be revealed, on suspicion of inappropriate touching.

Investigators said several passengers may have been victimized, including a minor. The age and sex for each of the victims was not immediately clear.

Passengers were full of praise for the girl's actions

"It takes courage and I'm glad she stood up for herself and what was right," passenger Brian John said. "He would have been on the Orange Line probably molesting other kids. So, whoever did it, thank you."
