A man walking his dog discovered a woman's dead body behind a carport in a La Habra neighborhood, police said Monday.

Police on Thursday identified the woman who was found dead in the bushes behind a La Habra neighborhood carport earlier this week.

The body was found covered with foliage in the 900 block of S. Idaho Street on Monday when a passerby's dog wandered near the body, according to the La Habra Police Department.

The victim was identified as Emma Posadas Espinoza, 58, of Lompoc, police said. Her cause of death was not yet released.

Police are now searching for Espinoza's car, which may be a white, four-door 2013 Acura ILX with license plate #7EDU040.

Only the feet and a small portion of Espinoza's body were uncovered when she was found, and police said they believe she may have been intentionally hidden in the bushes.

Anyone with information should call La Habra police at 562-383-4300.
