2 Killed in Fiery Crash on 101 Freeway

At least two people were killed in a fiery collision involving a car and a big rig early Tuesday morning in Agoura Hills, authorities said.

The crash was reported around 12:15 a.m. on the eastbound 101 Freeway just west of Chesebro Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A sedan crashed into the trailer of a big rig, which caught fire, according to the CHP.

Two people were killed. It was unclear if there were any additional injuries.

CHP reopened one lane around 1:30 a.m. after halting all traffic. The remaining lanes were expected to remain closed for several hours.

All lanes were reopened around 5 a.m., according to the CHP.

The crash was under investigation.
