$10K Reward Offered in Serial Robber Case

The robberies started on March 25, 2014 with the most recent one on April 2.

A 10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a serial robber in Los Angeles County, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department announced Thursday.

Spanning over the course of a year, 11 stores were robbed in Paramount, Lakewood, Bell Gardens and Norwalk, according to a news release.

The robber was able to get away with about $130,000 in merchandise, officials said. He's also gotten progressively more hostile with each robbery, they added.

"At this point, the suspect who's been armed with a handgun during the armed robberies has not physically injured any of the victims. Lt. Martin Rodriguez said, with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. "However, it's our fear based on the suspect's escalating aggressiveness , someone will be harmed if the suspect is not apprehended."

Cell phone and jewelry stores were the target of most of the robberies which started on March 25, 2014 with the most recent one on April 2.

Deputies said the suspect is an adult male Hispanic, "armed with a semi-automatic handgun."
