2 Rescued From Wreck, 2 Dead After Crash on 60 Freeway

Investigators were on scene of a fatal crash on the 60 Freeway that left two dead and sent two others to a local trauma center, early Saturday morning. 

The single-car crash was reported just after 2:30 a.m. on the Eastbound 60 Freeway just before the 605 Freeway transition roads in the City of Industry, California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi said. 

Firefighters arrived to find the car off the roadway and at the merging point of the 60 Freeway and the 605 Freeway transition road, Los Angeles County Fire Supervisor Robery Diaz said. 

LA County Fire rescuers found four occupants inside the vehicle, Diaz said. Two victims were rescued and transported to a local trauma center in unknown conditions. Two other victims were pronounced dead at the scene by LA County Fire paramedics, Diaz said. 

Both the northbound and southbound 605 Freeway transition roads were closed for investigation but was re-opnened just before 6 a.m., Polizzi said. 

It was unknown what led up to the fatal crash at this time.
