Two people were detained after four people were injured in a shooting in Palmdale on Monday afternoon, sheriff's officials said.
The shooting occurred near the intersection of 25th Street East and East Avenue S around 2 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Palmdale station.
"During a (fist) fight between multiple people, one produced a gun and shots were fired," Deputy Dustin Wiemann tweeted.
Palmdale High School, about 2 miles from the site of the shooting, was on lockdown, school administrators said.
One person is in critical condition, two suffered minor injuries and the fourth person's condition is unknown, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
