3 Men Sought in Series of Burglaries in Alhambra

Alhambra police Friday circulated security video of three men wanted in a series of residential burglaries.

Fourteen crimes have been committed since April 1 in various parts of the city, and detectives believe the three suspects have committed as many as 10 of them, Alhambra police Sgt. Jerry Johnson said.

"On one of the recent break-ins, in the western portion of Alhambra, the homeowner's security cameras caught the suspects as they began to break into the home," Johnson said.

"The suspects disabled the home alarm system, but the closed-circuit cameras were able to record the suspects in the rear yard of the house just prior to making entry," Johnson said. "There was no one home at the time of the incident and no one was hurt."

The men were described as black, in their late teens or early 20s, 5-feet-8 inches to 5-feet-10 inches tall, with thin builds. One had a "distinct" goatee. They might have fled in a dark sedan, possibly an older Honda Accord.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call Detective Jack Ng at (626) 570-5187.
