3.1 Earthquake Hits LA County Coast

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck the Los Angeles County coast.

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck near Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles County just before noon on Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake struck the county coast at 11:48 a.m. No damage or injuries were immediately reported.

"Earthquake Lights" Exist, Scientists Say

The quake struck two miles southeast of Santa Monica.
