5 Hurt in Winnetka Crash Involving Metro Bus

Los Angeles Fire Department officials said five people were hurt, one critically, in a crash involving a Metro bus and an SUV in Winnetka on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

Five people were hurt, one critically, in a crash involving a Metro bus and an SUV in Winnetka on Tuesday evening, fire officials said.

The crash took place about 8:41 p.m. near Vanowen Street and Mason Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

All five victims were transported to the hospital, the LAFD said. Four of them were in fair condition.

The circumstances surrounding the collision were unclear.

The intersection was closed to traffic during the investigation.
