$50K Reward to Find NoHo Man's Killer

Investigators running out of leads are hoping a $50,000 reward will help solve the slaying of a man shot to death in his North Hollywood apartment late last year.

Suren "Chris" Donoyan, 53, was shot in the head Nov. 20, 2014, inside his luxury apartment, and his killer has yet to be caught, city officials said.

"Robbery does not appear to be a motive, there were several valuables that were left behind," LAPD Detective Steve Castro said. "There was no forced entry, there was no sign of any struggle. In fact, Chris may not have even seen this coming."

Officials say Donoyan was a media agent and film production executive whose body was not found until days after the shooting.

Police said he was seeking a new business venture at the time of his death but would not be specific because of the investigation.

LA City Councilman Paul Krekorian joined city officials to announce the reward Thursday in hopes of getting information leading to the arrest, prosecution and arrest of the gunman.

The motive for the killing is not known.
