Lanes on the northbound 710 Freeway reopened Tuesday morning after crews repaired a barrier that was damaged in a big rig crash near the Atlantic Boulevard exit.
The big rig was removed, but lanes remained closed for about four hours after the 2:30 a.m. crash as crews repaired the barrier.
Three lanes remained closed at 6 a.m. Traffic was backed up to Imperial Highway.
The truck driver attempted to avoid a disabled vehicle on the side of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The truck swerved across several lanes and crashed into the barrier.
