A 72-year-old Costa Mesa man is accused of robbing an Orange County bank and then grabbing a drink at a nearby bar.

Richard James Feeney on Wednesday allegedly entered a Wachovia bank, located at 3201 Newport Blvd., brandished a handgun and demanded money from a bank teller, police said.

"A short time later, the suspect was located at McFadden and W. Oceanfront, sitting inside The District bar after purchasing a drink," according to the Newport Beach Police Department.

Feeney -- who in surveillance photos, bears a pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty close resemblance to Larry David -- was arrested on suspicion of bank robbery and held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Anyone with information about the case can contact Newport Beach police at 800-550-NBPD.
