Amber Alert

Boy, Mom Suspected of Abducting Him Found in Calabasas

A 1-year-old boy who was allegedly abducted in Paso Robles by his non-custodial mother was located along with the woman and his grandmother Wednesday in Calabasas after a witness who got an Amber Alert spotted their vehicle.

Namaste Dix had last been seen with his mother, 23-year-old Rashawna Bullock, at about 9:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The woman allegedly pulled a knife on a welfare worker and took the boy during a supervised visit at a park, the San Luis Obispo Tribune reported.

They fled in a gray Jeep Cherokee driven by the boy's grandmother, 50-year-old Serbina Bullock, according to the CHP. After they were located about 2:10 p.m. in the area of Agoura and Lost Hills roads in Agoura Hills, the mother and grandmother were taken into custody and the boy, who had been in the custody of San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services, was brought to a hospital where he was checked out and found to be OK, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The Amber Alert was issued by the CHP on behalf of the Paso Robles Police Department in Los Angeles County and a number of others.
