An American Airlines plane returned to LAX Friday afternoon with reported mechanical problems, according to an airport spokesman.
Flight 159 has 150 people on board, and was heading back to the runway as of 12:55 p.m., according to spokesman Marshall Lowe.
No other details were immediately available.
