Help Sought to ID Anaheim Robber

Deputies released a sketch of a man they say robbed a family at gunpoint in unincorporated Anaheim.

Police on Friday sought the public's help to identify a man who held a gun to a homeowner's head before taking off with a laptop and cellphone.

No one was injured in the robbery, which was reported on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. on South Brookhurst Street in unincorporated Anaheim, police said.

The man apparently entered the backyard and tried steal two birds out of a cage before chasing the homeowner into a bathroom, briefly holding a black semi-automatic pistol to his head and making off with the laptop and cellphone, police said.

An adult female and three small children were in another room of the house at the time of the incident.

The suspect is described as a male, Hispanic, between 25 and 35 years old, about 5 foot 7 with a muscular build, mustache, and shaved head.

He was wearing a gray jacket and faded blue jeans.
