A well-known architect has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of child molestation involving two girls.
Los Angeles County sheriff's Special Victims Unit detectives arrested Jeffrey Cooper, 66, Monday on eight charges of child molestation.
Among the charges Cooper faces are oral copulation with a minor and penetration of a child under the age of 10.
Cooper entered a not guilty plea to the charges on Tuesday.
The alleged acts with one of the girls took place between November 2006 and November 2007 and the other girl was allegedly assaulted several times between January 2012 and July 2016.
Cooper is known for designing movie theaters and sound studios for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including George Lucas, Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola. His firm designed an Academy of Television Arts and Sciences theater and more than two dozen of the mixing studios that produced Academy Award nominees for sound, according to his firm's website.
Cooper is in custody Wednesday morning in lieu of $8.95 million bail.
