Thousands of people were affected by a Time Warner Cable Internet outage that began Monday.
The outage affected customers in parts of Santa Monica, the San Fernando Valley, Brentwood, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Torrance, Bellflower and Fontana. Outages were reported in other areas.
The outage includes Internet and phone service. An earlier report that the outage affected cable television service was incorrect.
Officials said the outage is linked to an "internal software issue." Officials said Wednesday evening that the problem had been resolved.
They said service is expected to be restored by Thursday.
