Police Search for Arleta Hit-and-Run Driver

Two vehicles were involved in a hit-and-run crash Thursday in Arleta.

Streets in Arleta were closed Thursday after as police searched for a hit-and-run driver involved in a two-vehicle crash on Van Nuys Boulevard.

One driver was hospitalized, according to fire officials. The victim's condition was not immediately available.

The other driver fled on foot, according to police.

Aerial video showed two vehicles -- a sport utility vehicle and a late-model Ford Mustang -- with collision damage at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Beachy Avenue.

A police K-9 unit assisted with the search after the 11 a.m. crash.
