Armed Robber Sought After Two Gas Stations Targeted in Pomona

Officers were searching for a man who possibly robbed two gas stations within 30 minutes late Wednesday night in Pomona, police said.

The first robbery was reported just before 11 p.m. in the 1200 block of E. Mission Boulevard, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Police said a man wearing a black hoodie entered a Chevron station and ordered employees to the back of the store. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second robbery occurred just before 11:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Fairplex Drive, about 5 miles away from the first gas station. Pomona police said an armed man wearing a black hoodie stormed into the store and held employees at gunpoint while he emptied out the register.

Police suspect the same man robbed both gas stations. Detectives will be reviewing surveillance video from the scene.

No one was injured in the robberies.
