Armed Robbery Suspect Dragged Out of Whittier Home After Lockdown

The suspect is said to have been knocking on residents' windows in an attempt to get them to let him hide in their house

An armed robbery suspect was pulled out of a home by police in Whittier following a neighborhood lockdown Saturday morning.

A manhunt began on the 12500 block of Pasadena Street after a call was made by the victim at around 3:39 a.m, a Whittier Police Department spokesman said.

The suspect fled the scene and he is said to have been knocking on residents' windows in an attempt to get them to let him hide in their house.

Officers apprehended the suspected robber and took him into custody just after 5:30 a.m, police said. The lockdown was lifted shortly after.

The suspect was treated for minor scratches, and no one else was injured during the hunt.

A Los Angeles Police Department helicopter helped with the search.
