An arrest has been made in connection with the sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl at her Claremont home last month, police said.
Joseph Chandler Davall, 34, of Yucca Valley was arrested Friday after evidence collected at the home connected him to the crime, police said.
The assault took place on the night of March 20 when the girl was home alone and sleeping, police said. The girl heard noises, woke up and saw a man coming into the home.
Claremont detectives, with the assistance of San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies, arrested Davall at his home Friday.
