A gunman and six others were killed and seven more injured when a man driving a BMW went on a shooting rampage in Isla Vista near the University of California, Santa Barbara Friday night, officials said.
As the shooting unfolded -- at as many as nine different scenes, according to police -- witnesses in the coastal college town posted warnings, prayers and pictures to social media.
