Authorities Investigate Possible Shooting at Westlake Village Hotel

Authorities are investigating a possible shooting inside a guest room of an upscale Westlake Village hotel Monday morning, officials said.

Deputies responded around 2:30 a.m. to a shots fired call at Hyatt Hotel located at 880 S. Westlake Blvd., according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

The hotel was under restricted access as authorities searched the area.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but deputies said there is evidence that a shooting took place in one of the hotel rooms. It was unknown whether gunshots came from a hotel guest, officials said. 

A black Jeep with custom red trim was towed away from the hotel parking lot. It was unknown whether the vehicle was connected to the incident.
