A man was seriously injured after being knocked down in a hit-and-run collision in Azusa early Thursday.
Witnesses said he was struck as he walked in a marked crosswalk at Irwindale Avenue just north of McKinley Ave at around 12:23 a.m, Azusa Police Department said.
The vehicle, which is described as a dark coloured compact car, did not stop or slow down, and sustained front end damage from the collision.
The 28-year-old victim was transported to Los Angeles County/USC Hospital where his condition was described as critical but stable.
