"It’s the largest clothing giveaway in America," said Tom Jordan of Fred Jordan Missions.

Volunteers began distributing gift items, including backpacks, clothes, and shoes at 9 a.m. Some families had been waiting for hours and even days.

Footlocker donated 4,000 pairs of shoes, essentially transforming the chapel into a shoe-lovers dream.

In-N-Out was also at the event offering free food to those who braved the line.

With so many others in need, there was a question about whether there would be enough supplies for everyone this year.

However, Willie Jordan, of Fred Jordan Missions, was confident that no one would go home empty handed.

"On this day, we’ll have over 500 angels – volunteers – that will be here giving of themselves to touch a life," Jordan said.
