Man Kidnapped Ex-Girlfriend, Stabbed Her Then Killed Himself: Police

A apparently man killed himself after kidnapping a woman and stabbing her in Baldwin Park Thursday.

The incident began when Kenneth Williams, 31, abducted ex-girlfriend Juanita Solares in the parking lot of Yum Yum Donuts at 4351 Maine Avenue, Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said.

He allegedly  forced the 18-year-old into his black Toyota Prius and took her to his home  at the 4700 block of Maine Avenue against her will, punching her in the face as he drove.  When Williams parked inside his garage he is said to have  continued to physically assault her, striking her in the face again.

When Solares managed to get out of the car she was stabbed multiple times by Williams. She ran to a neighbor’s house after seeing Williams lying next to his car, unresponsive.  He suffered what appeared to be a self-inflicted stab wound to the chest.

Baldwin Park Police Department officers responded to  a "person down" call, where they found Solares sitting on a porch with stab wounds to her upper torso.

Soon after they found Williams dead in his garage. A knife, believed to have been used in the assault, was recovered at the scene.

The investigation is still ongoing.
