An army of firefighters battles a blaze that has consumed over 215 square miles.

Firefighters prepare to cute a fire line with hand tools to slow the advance of the Station Fire just north of Los Angeles. About 2,500 firefighters are battling the fire, which has consumed more than 70 square miles of land.

As the Station Fire continues to burn through the hills northeast of Los Angeles, the numbers are staggering: the land consumed by the flames, the effort to fight them and the devastation enflicted. Here's a quick look at the Station Fire by the numbers:
