The bear was tranquilized after the ovenight camp-out

A bear that spent the night in a San Dimas tree wound up in the bed of a pickup early Tuesday after Fish and Game officials tranquilized the animal.

The bear climbed the tree overnight in the 800 block of East Baseline Road. The sighting was reported at about 1 a.m.

Fish and Game agents responded to the location. They tranquilized the bear and transported it from the area in the bed of a pickup.

"People think we're the city, but we get our wildlife -- yay, San Dimas," a resident told NBC4.
