Two people were swarmed by bees Saturday in Banning, with one victim suffering more than 100 stings, fire officials said.
The attack was reported at 12:24 p.m. in the 700 block of East Indian School Lane, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The person who suffered more than 100 stings was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, while the other victim, who suffered ''a handful'' of stings, took personal transportation, fire officials said.
It was unclear what triggered the bee attack.
