The Golden Globes are expected to cause traffic delays near the Beverly Hilton this weekend due to street closures and restricted parking.
Beverly Hills police say the following streets will be affected by the awards show both Saturday and Sunday:
- Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed in both directions from Wilshire Boulevard to Moreno Drive.
- Traffic on Wilshire Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and the west city limits, near Whittier Drive, will be reduced to two lanes in each direction.
- Whittier Drive from Lomitas Avenue to Wilshire Boulevard will be closed to traffic. However, residents who live on Whittier Drive between Wilshire and Elevado Avenue will be allowed street access to their homes in a lane along the east curb.
- Parking will be restricted in the surrounding streets.
Police personnel will be present to control the flow of traffic.
