Traffic was blocked at the 5 Freeway in Glendale and the 210 Freeway in Pasadena after two big rig collisions Tuesday night.
A Sig Alert was issued for the 5 Freeway shortly after the big rig struck the center divider just north of the transition road to the Ventura Freeway at around 11:39 p.m., spilling diesel over the road.
Hazmat teams cleaned up diesel and engine oil, and the road eventually fully reopened around 4:55 a.m.
Meanwhile, a Sig Alert was issued for the 210 Freeway in Pasadena after two big rigs collided on the 210 westbound just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
One of the vehicles overturned, blocking four lanes. It is unknown what led to the collision.
The westbound 210 and the eastbound 134 to the westbound 210 reopened just after 3 a.m.
