Arrest Made After Body is Found in Orange County Alley

The death was being investigated as a possible homicide, officials say

A man who was detained and questioned after a body was found in a Southern California alley has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The body of Phuong (Bob) Huynh, 52, was found about 7:20 p.m. behind a Suzuki car dealership near the border of Stanton and Garden Grove in Orange County.

Preliminary investigation indicated that Huynh was stabbed during an unprovoked attack in the alleyway near Garden Grove Boulevard and Court Street, Orange County sherriff's officials said in a statement.

Huynh died of multiple stab wounds, officials said.

Deputies arrested Daniel Perez-Munoz, 21, on suspicion of murder, and he is being held in lieu of $1 million bail in the Orange County Jail.
