A bomb squad has given the all clear after the discovery of what appeared to be a hand grenade forced the evacuation of a Van Nuys motel and neighboring homes Sunday, police said.
Officers found the device as they responded to a call of a dispute between a man and woman at the La Posada Motel at 7615 Sepulveda Boulevard, officials with the Los Angeles Police Department said.
A bomb squad destroyed the device.
