Bomb Threat Called Into Centennial High School, Evacuation Lifted

Students at Compton's Centennial High School are returning to classes Thursday morning at around 8:25 a.m. after officials investigated a bomb threat, according to LA Sherrif's deputies.

An unknown man called in the bomb threat, and officials took students out of school for over an hour while a search was underway, Compton Sheriff's watch commander Michael Hannemann said.

Students returned to campus after officials on the search determined the school was safe.
