Both Hit and Run Drivers Arrested for Fatally Striking Woman in Van Nuys

The woman, who was riding a bicycle, was struck by two different vehicles with both drivers failing to stop to help.

A second driver suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run collision that killed a woman riding a bicycle in Van Nuys was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of felony hit and run.

Jenevieve B. Hegedus, 34, of Valley Village was driving a 2011 Mitsubishi that struck the victim, identified by the coroner's office as 55-year-old Tracy Adams, who had been struck by another car about 11:20 p.m.

Wednesday at the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Stagg Street, near Saticoy Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Adams, who was down from the first collision when Hegedus' vehicle hit her, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the LAPD.

Adams was first hit by a silver 2015 Toyota Camry, driven by 24-year-old Erik Limon of Van Nuys, who had been driving east on Stagg Street before turning right onto southbound Sepulveda Boulevard, where his vehicle struck the northbound bicyclist, police said.

Neither driver stopped as required. Both impacts were captured on surveillance video.

Limon was taken into custody on Thursday at his home, also on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, according to the LAPD.
