Fiery Big Rig Crash Closes Lanes on Orange County Freeway

A fiery crash involving a big rig that was carrying mail closed lanes for several hours overnight on a Southern California freeway.

The crash closed lanes on the northbound 57 Freeway in Brea. The freeway is not expected to fully reopen until 7:30 a.m., more than three hours after the crash was reported.
 
No injuries were reported.

However, some Southern California residents might be missing some deliveries. The truck was carrying more than 120,000 pieces of mail. Zip codes starting with 906, 917, 918, 926, 927 or 928 could be affected. To find out if your letters or packages were burned in the wreckage, check with the recipient in the next few days.
