A perimeter has been set up in Van Nuys as LAPD officers and search dogs try to locate the people involved in a marijuana dispensary break-in on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014.

Police and search dogs were looking for the people involved in a break-in at a marijuana dispensary in Van Nuys Wednesday morning.

The commercial building robbery occurred on the 15000 block of Burbank Boulevard around 3 a.m., LAPD said.

When officers arrived, they heard glass breaking and saw at least one person going back inside the building, Sgt. Steven Gottschalk said. A search perimeter had been set up near the scene.

The search was completed around 6:30 a.m. but no suspect had been located.

Burbank Boulevard is shut down between Noble Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard. Those traveling westbound to access the 405 Freeway should take Ventura Boulevard or Victory Boulevard.

The streets are expected to reopen by 8 a.m.
