Murder detectives investigating the kidnapping and slaying of 17-year-old Norma Angelica Lopez of Moreno Valley recovered a green SUV Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators have been looking for a green SUV since Norma disappeared July 15 on her way to a friend's house after finishing classes at Valley View High School.

Police searched the home Tuesday afternoon on Pegasus Way and Andromeda Avenue in Moreno valley using a search warrant tied to the Norma Lopez murder case.

"Detectives collected a green SUV," said St. Joe Borja, Riverside County Sheriff Department spokesman.  "Its important to note no one was arrested in connection with the homicide," Borja added.

"Since the investigation is ongoing no other information will be release regarding the search warrant," Borja said.

A green SUV was seen in the area where Norma disappeared but where the vehicle is and who was driving it remains a mystery.

A $35,000 reward is being offered to anyone who gives information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information should call (877) 242-4345.
