A brush fire broke out in Rialto on Monday afternoon, quickly spreading flames to an area north of the shuttered El Rancho Verde Golf Club, fire officials said.

Firefighters from multiple agencies, including Cal Fire and the San Bernardino County Fire Department, were battling flames that had consumed 5 acres by 3 p.m.
