Brush Fire Contained in Thermal

Power lines were down in the area and at least one outbuilding was destroyed, fire officials said

A brush fire in Thermal that burned about 350 acres Saturday has been fully contained, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The blaze was first reported at about 4:30 p.m., fire officials said. It burned in heavy brush near Avenue 66 and Pierce Street.

The fire was 80 percent contained by11:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Power lines were down in the area and at least one outbuilding was destroyed, fire officials said.

More than 120 firefighters worked to put out the flames.

No injuries were reported.
