Grass Fire Sends Plumes of Smoke Over 105 Fwy

A grass fire in Lennox temporarily shut down the westbound 105 Freeway connectors to the northbound and southbound 405 Freeway Tuesday morning, according to officials from the California Highway Patrol.

Plumes of white smoke could be seen coming from the blaze, at times covering drivers as they drove passed on the 105.

Visibility was limited by the amount of smoke covering the freeway, CHP officer Francisco Villalobos said.

Officials received a call about 9:48 a.m. reporting the .25-acre fire.

Both connectors were re-opened shortly after 12 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
