Camarillo’s Bob and Mike Bryan advanced to the Olympic men’s tennis doubles quarterfinals Tuesday after defeating Nikolay Davydenko and Mikhail Youzhny of Russia, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (1).
The top-seeded duo is now within one win of the medal round.
At the 2008 Games in Beijing, the Bryan brothers took home bronze.
Before then the U.S. had not won a medal in men’s dobules since Ken Flach and Robert Seguso won gold in 1988.
