Four people were sent to the hospital in a traffic collision in Orange County Sunday afternoon, fire officials said.
One of them died, police said, in a crash being investigated for the possibility of drunken driving.
The collision occurred at about 12:15 p.m., near the Buena Park intersection of Valley View Street and Orangethorpe Avenue, according to Orange County Fire Authority spokesman Steve Concialdi.
The four people injured sustained moderate to critical injuries, Concialdi said.
Two cars collided, according to Buena Park Polce Department Lt. Rich Forsyth. The driver of a pickup truck was being investigated for possible DUI, he said.
Eastbound lanes of Orangethorpe Avenue were expected to be closed near Vallew View until 4 or 5 p.m., Forsyth said.
